Invisible seat mystery

Video of a guy apparently floating in mid-air as a way of promoting a new airline seat.

So how did he do this?  (Video taken at Manchester airport).  If you really want to know the answer, read the comments on Youtube.

A more imponderable question is how this relates to flying in KLM’s ‘Economy Comfort’ class, an experience that is sadly quite unlike that depicted in this video/airport promotion.

The new (as of Sept last year) class of service offers about 4″ extra seat pitch and seats that recline back twice as far as regular coach seats, but regular coach service for food and drink – in other words, it is another typical type of ‘premium economy’ service, and unlike many other airlines, using a typical standard coach class seat, but adapted to recline a bit further.  Here’s an image from KLM’s announcement.
